PU Paints AUTO MATT R 3:1

The PU AUTO MATT PAINT is a colored aliphatic polyurethane paint that utilizes acrylic resin and aliphatic hardener. It is designed to deliver a smooth and matte finish with excellent coverage and hardness. Thanks to its high-quality raw materials, this paint exhibits resistance to water, mild acids, alkalis, as well as resistance to fading.

Recoating One coat may be sufficient for ordinary finish. However, one additional coat can be applied wet on wet if necessary. Light sanding with 400 ~ 600 mesh sandpaper is recommended before subsequent coat when recoating time exceeds 3 hrs and remove traces of wax.

Surface Preperation & Mixing Instruction

  • Prepare the Surface: Ensure that the surface to be coated is clean and primed with a suitable sealer or primer.
  • Clean ANd Sand the Surface: Thoroughly clean the surface, removing any dust, oil, water, or other contaminants. Additionally, sand the surface well to create a smooth and even base.
  • Apply the First Coat: On the well-prepared surface, apply 1 to 2 coats of PU CLEAR GLOSS. Apply the paint in both horizontal and vertical strokes to ensure even coverage.
  • Sand for Perfect Finish: Once the initial coats have dried, use a very fine sandpaper to lightly sand the surface. This step helps to achieve a flawless finish. After sanding, remove any dust or debris from the surface.
  • Repeat the Top Coating Process: Apply another coat of PU CLEAR GLOSS to the sanded surface. Follow the same technique of applying the paint in horizontal and vertical strokes.

Additional Information

CLEANING OF TOOLS

All tools should be cleaned with Wash Thinner or PU Super Thinner as soon as possible.

STORAGE CONDITIONS

Shelf life of 12 months minimum if stored below 25oC.

PU AUTO MATT PAINT R 3:1 and PU HARDNER do not contain dangerous solvents, nevertheless, good ventilation in working rooms is recommended as well as the use of safety tools and equipment. PU AUTO MATT PAINT is flammable and harmful if swallowed. If contact with eyes or skin occurs, wash well with fresh water and seek immediate medical advice.
